Veneers
What is veneer?
Veneers are custom-made, thin, tooth-colored porcelain shells (veneers) that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. This is an excellent restorative option as it requires minimal tooth preparation (generally less than a millimeter of tooth structure is removed) and can be very effective in creating a naturally brighter, straighter and nicer smile. Veneers appear and feel exactly like your real teeth, with a translucency that mimics the light absorption of natural teeth. They also last for at least 10 to 15 years and resist stains over time.
When can veneers be used?
Veneers can be used to cover dark or yellow teeth, fill unsightly gaps, make shorter teeth longer, or straighten a crooked smile - in some cases, the need for orthodontic treatment is eliminated. So you can achieve a completely natural effect and laugh and smile with confidence! With proper use and regular care, porcelain veneers can be durable for many years and do not deteriorate or discolour.
How does veneer treatment work?
Treatment with Venners is usually completed in two to three appointments - in a first appointment, the teeth are prepared and impressions are recorded in a highly precise material. This makes it possible to create a model of the prepared teeth. The porcelain bowls (veneer bowls) are made according to a user-defined recipe from shape and color, as defined jointly by the patient and the doctor. In a second appointment, the porcelain bowls are carefully glued to the front and bite surfaces of your teeth.
